Yellow glazed red earthenware bowl

 

A large thrown bowl with decorative tile edging attached with coloured tiling cement.

It has a uranium oxide glaze from a small remaiming stock of pigment which is now un-available. Therefore un-repeatable.

 

The approach is un-mannered and direct, the finish underneath straight from the wheelhead.

The border tiles are from a collection of naturally pigmented glazes.

The bowl is approximately 16 inches across.

Dont use outside or soak for long periods in water.
